Karnataka Tourism Delegation Led by Hon’ble Minister K. J. George Visits uSky Test & Certification Centre in Sharjah

A high-level delegation from Karnataka, India, led by Mr. K. J. George, Hon’ble Minister for Energy and Tourism, visited the uSky Test & Certification Centre in Sharjah, UAE, to explore the capabilities of Unitsky String Technologies (UST) and its potential applications in tourism and passenger mobility.

The delegation included Mr. Srinivas M., Hon’ble Chairman, KSTDC; Dr. Ram Prasath Manohar, Secretary Tourism; Mr. Shivaprasad P. R., MD, KSTDC; Mr. Sathish Kumar, PS to the Hon’ble Minister; Dr. Santhrupth H. V., Advisor to the Hon’ble Minister; and Mr. Janardhana H. P., Joint Director, Tourism.

During the visit, the delegation received a detailed introduction to uST and toured the testing and demonstration facilities in Sharjah. The programme included technical discussions, an overview of the infrastructure and control systems, and demonstrations of the operational transport lines.

The delegates also had the opportunity to experience the technology firsthand by travelling on the operating systems at the centre. This provided practical insight into the comfort, operation and potential applications of uST for modern passenger transportation.

Discussions focused on the possible use of elevated transport solutions for tourist destinations, last-mile connectivity and locations where conventional transport infrastructure may face land or geographical constraints. The visit also enabled an exchange of views on Karnataka’s future mobility requirements and the role innovative transport technologies could play in improving accessibility to tourism destinations.

The visit marked another important opportunity to present the capabilities of Unitsky String Technologies to senior government and tourism representatives.
