Kazakhstan Delegation Explores uST Technology for Almaty's Future Mobility

The uSky Test & Certification Centre recently hosted a delegation from the Almaty City Development Corporation (Kazakhstan), headed by Mr. R. Berdenov, Chairman of the Board, to explore innovative transport solutions aimed at addressing the growing traffic congestion challenges in Almaty and its surrounding areas.
As Kazakhstan's largest city, Almaty is facing increasing pressure on its transport infrastructure, with more than one million vehicles currently operating on city roads. Local authorities are actively seeking sustainable mobility solutions that can reduce dependence on private cars while improving the efficiency and accessibility of public transportation.
During the visit, representatives of uScovery DMCC and Unitsky String Technologies (uST) presented the capabilities of the String Rail Transport (SRT) system and discussed its potential application in urban and suburban transport corridors. The delegation reviewed the key advantages of the technology, including its high transport efficiency, low energy consumption, minimal land requirements, and reduced environmental impact.

The program also included a tour of the uSky Test & Certification Centre, where the visitors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the existing infrastructure, operational principles, and safety features of the technology. Discussions focused on how advanced transport solutions such as uST could contribute to reducing road congestion and supporting Almaty's long-term urban development objectives.
Mr. Berdenov and the delegation emphasized the importance of identifying practical and scalable transport systems capable of improving mobility while encouraging a shift away from private vehicle use.
